As of August 2020, WILPF analysis shows that 86\u00a0UN Member States<\/a>\u00a0(45% of all UN Member States) have UNSCR 1325 National Action Plans (NAPs).\u00a0<\/p>

Of the 84\u00a0NAPs adopted by December 2019,\u00a0only 28 (33%) include an\u00a0allocated budget<\/a>\u00a0for implementation.\u00a0Furthermore, only 26\u00a0NAPs (31%) include references to\u00a0disarmament and provide specific actions to disarm society<\/a>. Although civil society has always been at the forefront of efforts to strengthen the implementation of the WPS Agenda,\u00a0only 63\u00a0NAPs (75%) allocate\u00a0a specific role to civil society<\/a>\u00a0in the different stages of the NAP implementation process, with this role often limited to an \u201cadvisory\u201d position.\u00a0<\/p>

There are 11 Regional Action Plans (RAPs)\u00a0in place as well, such as the one of the African Union<\/a> and of the European Union<\/a>.\u00a0Regional coordination efforts also include the Asia-Pacific Regional Symposium on National Action Plans on Women, Peace and Security where the Member States, alongside civil society representatives, share their lessons learned and best practices in the implementation of UNSCR 1325.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Albania launched its first National Action Plan (NAP) for the Implementation of UNSCR 1235 for the period 2018 to 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Although Albania has not yet adopted a National Action Plan for resolution 1325 (2000), gender is mainstreamed across the security sector under the umbrella of its national strategy on gender equality and fight against domestic violence.
